Hey everyone,

1. If you’re trying to reinstall or install Final Fantasy XIV, but are encountering an error that gives you the message “Unable to Download Patch Files”, then I.
2. It says 'Unable to download patch files. ' Are there other ways to download this game other than thru the client? I tried to go and post on the tech forums but receive this message (which is actually entertaining) Since the valid character.

I bought Final Fantasy XIV online the complete experience for ps4 the other day, never really played an mmo before and man is it frustrating trying to install it!

I've managed to log into the lodestone but every time I try to start the game I need to download the update file, it gets a quarter of the way through (roughly) and then fails. I've searched about the web and can't find any reason for this. It's definitely not hard drive space as I have over 100 gig free.

Unable to download patch files easy fix!

So after scouring the web for a while because me, my girlfriend, and my friend all had the same issue 'Unable to download patch files [30413] [25008] [20495]' while trying to install ff14 i finally came upon a fix that wont take forever like using a free vpn will. It is fairly simple you just change your dns to Level3 dns 4.2.2.2 and 4.2.2.4. This fix worked for all of us and i'd figure i should post it so others can easily find it on here as it seems to be a relatively common problem judging from the tons of other posts trying to find a solution and the only solution really being thrown around is to use a free vpn to patch that specific file.
