We're nearly six months deep into 2018 and we still haven't received a project from Gucci Mane. It's strange considering his prolific output of music. Last year, the rapper released three projects, El Gato The Human Glacier, Mr Davis and Droptop Wop. Shortly after the release of his last project, El Gato, he announced a new album, Evil Genius. He's yet to share a release date for it but according to his latest Instagram post, it's coming soon.
Gucci Mane took to Instagram to share a bit of an update on his forthcoming album, Evil Genius. The rapper said that it's coming soon but he's yet to share a release date. Hopefully, it ends up dropping sometime in June so we got some GuWop to ride out to for the summer. He also shared a snippet of some new music with an visual accompaniment. The rapper's seen flaunting a whole lot of cash on a balcony while loose bills are spread across the floor.
Aside from his forthcoming album, Gucci also has several other projects that he's been working on. He's teaming up with Lil Yachty and Migos for their 'Glacier Boyz' tape. He's also gearing up for a 1017 Eskimo Boyz joint effort. In addition, Rich The Kid also teased a joint project with Gucci Mane. Hopefully, we'll end up getting those at some point this year.

Gucci Mane has confirmed that his new album Evil Genius is on the way.
We haven’t had an album from Guwop since the start of the year and that’s unlike him so it’s exciting to know that he has a new project on the way. We are used to getting a new project from the East Atlanta Santa at least every quarter of the year but now that he is a married man perhaps he has slowed things down to spend some time with his family.
Gucci Mane released three albums last year, Droptop Wop, El Gato The Human Glacier, and Mr. Davis, which was released around the time he got married to his Keyshia Ka’Oir in a lavish wedding ceremony that was aired on BET live.
Gucci Mane posted a video on Instagram on Labor Day where he told his fans that his new album Evil Genius is coming soon. In the short clip, a shirtless Guwop flaunts his cash as he enjoys the Memorial Day Weekend. In the caption, he asked his fans if they are ready for the new album because it’s coming sooner than later.
It’s unlikely that Gucci Mane will release the new album in June given that that month is already crowded with projects coming from Kanye West, Drake, Kid Cudi, and more. Nicki Minaj, who was slated to drop her album in June, has since pushed it back to August likely because the month got crowded with too many big-name artists.
Gucci Man is not only working on his next solo album, the Atlanta rapper also has a few joint albums coming out with Lil Yachty and Migos for their joint effort Glacier Boyz. Guwop also has his 1017 Eskimo Boyz project on the way, so he has been busy in the studio working on new music.
