- Apr 30, 2010 Can I use a PDP Afterglow Xbox 360 Controller on the PC? I just bought a PDP Afterglow Xbox 360 AX.1 controller. It is licensed by Microsoft, it is USB and wired, so I figured it could be used on the PC like a normal 360 Wired controller. When I plugged it in, windows detected it and showed its full product name and couldn't find a driver.

As your Afterglow controller is wired, select the 'Xbox 360 Controller for Windows' option. You want the one with the latest date. You will receive a warning about the driver potentially being incompatible, because Microsoft can't verify that it will work for your device.

Hiya, my name is Evan. My Xbox One controller doesn't work on Windows 7. When I plug it in, it says the driver was not found.
Here is everything I have tried:
*Updated my windows fully
*I tried to update drivers by going into device manager and having windows find a solution (it didn't find a solution)
*I tried to update the drivers by downloading the Xbox controller drivers from the Xbox catalog called AMD64 and X86 or something along those lines. I have extracted both of these with WinRar and right clicked on the .inf and hit install. It gave me the error, 'The INF file you selected does not support this method of installation.' I also extracted the files and put them in a folder. I then went to device manager again and browsed for the folder instead. I selected it and it said it couldn't find the drivers even though the only thing in the folder was what I extracted.
Please help me, I want to play Dark Souls 3 with a controller!
