VIA USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller Issues
All of a sudden today, I've been having issues with my USB drives, particularly one labeled 'VIA USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller - 1.0 (Microsoft).'
Here are my a few of my specs:
OS: Windows 10 Home
Motherboard: MSI X99A Gaming Pro
CPU: Intel i7-6800K @ 3.40 GHz
Memory: G. Skill Ripjaws V 8x8 GB (64 GB total)
GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 FTW 8GB
Storage: 512 GB Intel 600P Series SSD PCIE M.2; WD Caviar Black 3.5' 2TB HDD; Samsung EVO 2TB SSD
Audio Interface: Behringer UMC204HD
Amplifier: JDS Labs El Amp
Accessories: Razer BlackWidow Chroma Keyboard; Razer Deathadder Chroma Mouse
I've attempted to disable and re-enable it, but it causes my computer to freeze, forcing me to do a hard reboot. I've tried performing a windows update, system restore from one a few days ago, and performing DISM command, sfc /scannow command, and chkdisk command. I've uninstalled and reinstalled my audio interface drive, which hasn't helped.

Nothing has changed except MAYBE my computer performed a windows update which either corrupted my USB drives or made my system incompatible with them.
Here are few screenshots of the problem.
Thanks in advance!

Cannot get USB 3.0 working on Windows 10
Hey everyone,
Been having an issue in the past few weeks, where my USB 3.0 stopped working. It was working for the first few months under Windows 10, but after an update, it stopped.
I can still use USB 2.0 fine, but anytime I plug in something 3.0, it doesn't get recognized. In device manager, i get 2 different errors
Unknown USB Device: Device Descriptor Request Failed Unknown USB Device: Set Address Failed
I've tried updating drivers, reinstalling, uninstalling, etc. To no avail.
